COOKIE POLICY

INTRODUCTION

To make this site work properly and function better, we place small data files called cookies on your device. Some are essential for the site to work and some are non-essential to collect information for making reports and to help us improve the site (which are collected in an anonymous form).  By using our site, you agree to us placing these sorts of cookies on your device and accessing them when you visit the site in the future.   If you do not consent to use of cookies then you should change your browser settings as referred to below.  Otherwise we will assume you are happy to continue.

WHAT IS A COOKIE

Cookies are small text files placed on your device to collect and to use standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information.  This information is used to track visitor use of the website, to deliver a webpage tailored to a particular user’s preferences, to enable account information to be remembered and to compile statistical reports on website activity.  These cookies may be “session” cookies (that last until you close your browser) or “persistent” cookies (that last until you or your browser deletes them). Some of the cookies we use are directly associated with your account (relating to things like the email address you gave us, information linked to your account, what items you put in your shopping basket, whether you have opted in to marketing), and other cookies are not.

WHAT COOKIES WE USE

There are three main types of cookies that we use – here’s how and why we use them.

(1)   Site functionality cookies – these cookies allow you to navigate the site and use our features, and to proceed with the order process such as “Add to Basket”.  They are provided by our third party IT provider Shopify.

(2)   Site analytics cookies – these cookies allow us to measure and analyse how our customers use the site (for example to determine which pages or information users find most useful or interesting) so that we can then seek to improve both its functionality and your shopping experience and to enable us to optimise the navigation and design of our web site.  We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics cookies collect your IP address, however because IP anonymisation is used on our Websites, your IP address will be shortened (and therefore anonymised) as soon as technically possible and before it is stored or otherwise used in connection with Google Analytics. The anonymisation process takes place within the European Union or the European Economic Area, except in exceptional cases, where your full IP address may be sent to a Google server in the U.S.A. and shortened there. The IP address sent by your browser in connection with Google Analytics will not be combined by Google, with other data.

(3)   Customer preference cookies – when you are browsing or shopping, these cookies will remember your preferences (like your language or store view), so we can make your shopping experience as seamless as possible, and more personal to you.

However, we will not use ‘cookies’ or other devices to follow your click stream on the internet generally or hold personal data without your consent.

You can find more information about cookies at: www.allaboutcookies.org and www.youronlinechoices.eu.

DISABLING/ENABLING COOKIES

Most browsers automatically accept cookies.  You can prevent cookies from being stored on your hard drive by setting your browser to not accept cookies.  The exact instructions for this can be found in the manual for your browser.  You can delete cookies already in your hard drive at any time.  Please note that by deleting or disabling future cookies, your user experience may be affected and you might not be able to take advantage of certain functions of our site, and the complete user experience that we pride ourselves on providing our customers.
